POSITION SUMMARY
The Orchestra Instructor will provide an effective instrumental music education to students; duties include all aspects of the band organization, auditions, programming, and rehearsing all music for performances.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The ideal candidate for this position will: Communicate with the student body and encourage participation in the orchestra activities; Plan, rehearse and direct musical experiences for the school with some scheduled performances per school year; Oversee scheduling and other arrangements for the rehearsals and concerts; Order all supplies and materials necessary for band related activities in accordance with established procedures and budget allocations.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is required. One (1) year teaching experience preferred. Certification in Music (P-12) through the Georgia Professional Standards Commission required. The 2026-2027 salary schedules are not yet available.
