This position is a great fit for experienced music educators who love to play and teach. Fill your schedule with daytime work that doesn't conflict with private lessons and gigs. Bold partners with the best preschools in the area to provide great music education to kids age 3-5. Open availability today for the role of Assistant Instructor, more opportunities to come. Junior Jammers provides schools with access to teachers who lead students in engaging activities that introduce them to the basics of music making. We focus on hiring professional musicians who still regularly gig and record music and give them the coaching and tools to be succesful in the classroom. Professionalism and prompt responses are expected when having conversations with students, partners and responding to the management team. In the role of Assistant Instructor, you will be working with another instructor to prepare and lead activities in the classroom. If desired, you will also be preparing to lead solo classes after 1 semester of teaching. You will report directly to the Program Director. Previous preschool teaching experience is not required, all you need to bring with you is a love of music and a drive to teach the next generation of musicians. Requirements Ability to drive to partner schools (around 30 mins) Previous teaching experience is welcome (not required) Music degree welcome (not required) Ability to communicate quickly with management team Must be able to communicate effectively with students, manage calendar effectively - communicating absences and conflicts promptly Must pass a background check, reference check and music knowledge assessment.
