Piano Teacher

Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking passionate and dynamic Private Piano Instructors to inspire and nurture students' musical talents across various age groups and skill levels. In this role, you will travel to students' homes (typically no more than 10 miles from your home or workplace) , and design engaging lesson plans, foster a positive learning environment, and tailor instruction to meet individual student needs. Your expertise will help students develop their musical skills, confidence, and appreciation for the arts. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through personalized music education and creative arts instruction. Duties Develop customized curriculum plans that align with students' goals, skill levels, and interests in various musical instruments and performance arts Deliver engaging, interactive lessons in music theory, instrumental performance, and singing, as the need arises (not typical for every lesson). Manage classroom and individual lesson behavior effectively to create a safe and motivating learning environment for students of all ages Incorporate visual & performing arts techniques into lessons to enhance creativity and artistic expression Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to encourage growth and improvement Plan and coordinate performances, recitals, or showcases to celebrate student achievements and boost confidence Collaborate with parents, guardians, or program coordinators to support student development and address individual needs Requirements Proven experience working with children and youth programs teaching music or arts-related subjects Strong background in teaching musical instruments; piano is required Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, choreography, and classroom management techniques Experience in early childhood education or preschool settings is highly desirable Ability to work effectively with diverse learners including those requiring special education or behavior management strategies Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate students and foster a love for the arts Formal training or certification in teaching arts or related fields is preferred Join us as a Private Music Instructor to ignite passion for the arts in students while honing your teaching craft. Pay:
$44.00 - $48.00 per hour
