Role:

Lawrenceville-Suwanee School of Music is looking for a passionate and skilled Piano Instructor to join our growing music community in Snellville, GA. This is a wonderful in-person teaching opportunity to inspire students of all ages and skill levels while doing what you love most — making music.

Responsibilities:

Provide engaging one-on-one piano lessons tailored to each student's age, skill level, and musical goals Develop and follow structured lesson plans covering music theory, technique, and repertoire Track and evaluate student progress and communicate updates to parents or guardians as needed Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and music examinations Maintain a positive, encouraging, and professional learning environment Collaborate with school staff to support scheduling, events, and studio operations Stay current with best practices in music education and pedagogy

Requirements:

Proficiency in piano performance with a strong foundation in music theory Prior teaching experience with students of varying ages and skill levels preferred Degree in Music, Music Education, or equivalent professional experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students and families Patient, motivating, and adaptable teaching style Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor Ability to teach multiple genres including classical, contemporary, and pop is a plus
