Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Drum & Percussion Instructor to inspire students of all ages through the vibrant world of rhythm and percussion. This role offers an exciting opportunity to foster creativity, and cultivate a love for music and performing arts. The ideal candidate will bring energy, expertise, and a commitment to nurturing musical talent in diverse learning environments. As a key member of our arts education team, you will empower students to explore their musical potential while promoting foundational skills, confidence, discipline, and artistic expression. Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive drum and percussion curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels Lead engaging individual and group lessons that emphasize technique, rhythm, improvisation, and performance skills Manage one-on-one lessons effectively by applying strong classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Prepare students for performances by guiding rehearsals, developing skill, and fostering creativity and knowledge Assess student progress regularly through evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support ongoing development Skills Extensive knowledge of musical instruments, specifically drums and percussion instruments Proven experience in curriculum development for music or performing arts classes Strong classroom management skills with the ability to work effectively with children, teens, and adults Experience working with children in educational or extracurricular settings, including early childhood education or preschool programs Skilled in lesson planning tailored to diverse learning styles and developmental stages Background in teaching instrumental performance, music theory, or related creative arts disciplines Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate students and foster a positive learning environment Knowledge of childhood development principles and special education accommodations when necessary Experience in tutoring or adult education settings that emphasize creative arts instruction Join us to inspire creativity through rhythm! Pay:
$35.00 - $45.00 per hour
