Job Description
Overview We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic music professional to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education and a commitment to fostering a love for music in students ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. This position involves teaching music theory, instrument skills, and vocal techniques, while also promoting creativity and self-expression through music. The Music Teacher will lead music sessions providing both group and individualized music classes. Responsibilities Lead weekly group music sessions (20-30 minutes) for larger groups of children across various age groups (infants through preschoolers). Provide weekly individualized music sessions (20-30 minutes) for each classroom to cater to the unique needs of small groups of children. Introduce children to basic music concepts, including rhythm, melody, and movement, through songs, instruments, and interactive activities. Collaborate with other educators to ensure sessions align with the development needs of the children. Experience Strong musical background, including proficiency in at least one instrument (guitar, keyboard, etc.) Previous experience working with young children (ages 6 weeks to 5 years) in an educational or daycare setting is preferred. A passion for early childhood development and the role of music in learning. Energetic, creative, and able to engage children in a fun and meaningful way. Must be dependable and punctual. Background in early childhood education or music education is a plus but not required. Join our team and inspire the next generation of musicians!
