Music and Company is looking for a friendly, reliable piano and voice teacher to join our substitute team at our Chicago studio. We're a performance-focused music school: we help students build confidence, develop their skills, and experience the excitement of making music with others. We're looking for teachers who can make lessons engaging while helping students make meaningful progress. Start as a substitute, grow with the school. Our substitute team is a pipeline for future regular teaching opportunities. Covering lessons gives us a chance to get to know one another, and strong substitutes can be considered for a recurring schedule and their own student roster as openings become available. Regular hours are not guaranteed. What you'll doYou'd be a great fit if you Cover private piano and voice lessons when regular teachers are unavailable. Work with children, teens, and adults at a range of skill levels. Follow existing lesson notes while bringing your own teaching personality. Help students build technique, musicianship, and confidence through music they enjoy. Leave clear notes so their regular teacher can pick up where you left off. Can confidently teach both piano and voice . Enjoy working with beginners as well as developing musicians. Are warm, patient, dependable, and communicative. Can adapt quickly to different students and learning styles. How scheduling works This is an as-needed substitute role , not a guaranteed weekly schedule. Share your availability, and we'll coordinate coverage that fits.
