Job Description

The Elementary Music Teacher provides engaging, developmentally appropriate music instruction to students in grades K-5. This role fosters a love of music while supporting creativity, collaboration, and foundational musical skills aligned to state standards.
Responsibilities include:
Plan and deliver standards-based music instruction for all elementary grade levels Teach fundamental music concepts, including rhythm, melody, harmony, movement, and performance Incorporate singing, instruments, movement, and creative expression into lessons Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs and abilities Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and families Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports student engagement and behavior expectations Prepare students for performances and school programs as appropriate Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to support school-wide initiatives Maintain classroom materials, instruments, and equipment Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and events
