REW Music is looking for a passionate Cello Private Music Instructor to join our teaching team. It's about building a strong foundation, developing musicianship, and helping students discover something they can enjoy for years to come. What You'll Teach Our cello students may include: Beginning students learning their first instrument Elementary and middle school orchestra students Developing students working on technique and musicianship Advanced students preparing for auditions, ensembles, performances, or continued study We are looking for an instructor who can meet students where they are and help them progress toward their individual musical goals. What You'll Do Teach individual, in-person cello lessons Develop engaging, individualized lessons based on each student's goals and ability Establish strong foundations in posture, bowing, intonation, tone production, and technique Help students develop good practice habits and musical confidence Support students participating in school orchestra and other ensembles Prepare students for auditions, performances, honor groups, and personal musical goals Build positive relationships with students and parents Communicate with parents about student progress when appropriate Encourage students to participate in performances and other musical opportunities Collaborate with other instructors and REW Music staff Build and maintain a consistent, long-term teaching studio Who We're Looking For You may be a great fit if you are: An experienced cello teacher A current or recent Music Education or Music Performance student A professional cellist looking to add teaching to your schedule A teacher looking to build a larger or more consistent private studio We are looking for someone who is: A strong cellist with a genuine passion for teaching Patient, positive, and encouraging with students Comfortable teaching beginning through advanced students Reliable and professional Comfortable communicating with parents Creative in their approach to music education Interested in building relationships with students and families Interested in long-term studio growth A Bachelor's Degree in Music or Music Education is preferred , but we also value teaching experience, musicianship, and your ability to connect with students.
