Our Lexington office offers music therapy, music lessons, and art therapy. Our mission is to build lifelong wellness through music, art, and creativity. Summary We're hiring a Music Instructor to teach at our office on Darby Creek Rd. This is a part-time employee role —hours will start smaller and grow as student bookings increase. We primarily serve children, and we're looking for someone who teaches with warmth, patience, and professionalism. We're looking for someone who can teach beginner-level lessons in piano, guitar, voice, and/or ukulele . Preference will be given to instructors who can teach multiple instruments, but we're also happy to consider applicants who specialize in just one. Required Availability (Evenings) To meet our highest-demand lesson times, applicants must be available: 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm at least 2 weekdays (Mon-Fri) (Most popular times are typically 3:30-6:00 pm.) Responsibilities Teach music lessons to students ages 5+ (1:1 and semi-private—2 students) Teach your primary instrument confidently and provide beginner-level instruction on additional instruments as needed (ideally piano, guitar, voice, and ukulele ) Create a supportive, encouraging learning environment Use provided lesson resources and activities; instruments and lesson materials are provided Communicate clearly with families and the Wellness Creative team regarding scheduling and student progress Workplace & Location Lessons are currently in-office at our Lexington Location Some virtual lessons may be needed Support & Culture Administrative support so you can focus on students Quarterly employee social events A workplace that values innovation and creativity Benefits / Perks Health, vision, and dental insurance eligibility at 30 hours/week Equal pay for all tasks (teaching, admin tasks, and planning) Workers' compensation and professional liability insurance Career development opportunities Qualifications Required Experience teaching music lessons or equivalent relevant experience Comfortable teaching children and working with a variety of learning styles/needs Ability to work evening availability as listed Pass a background check Preferred Ability to teach multiple instruments at a beginner level (piano/guitar/voice/ukulele) Experience with semi-private lessons (2 students) How to Apply Apply through Indeed AND fill out this questionnaire: https://forms.gle/AZE9UBvcAuAHuqA97 If you are ready to inspire change through the power of music and join a supportive team, we encourage you to apply now—your next rewarding chapter awaits at Wellness Creative.
