  • Brookline, MA Seeking kind and charismatic guitar instructor, mixed styles, with prior teaching experience. Preferably someone comfortable working with both children and adults, group lessons and private lessons. The guitar method is already provided. The instructor mostly will follow to teach the method of the school
  • Beginners, intermediate, and advanced levels.

Pay:
Monthly $3400 Paid weekly meetings
  • (Required.) Must be willing to undergo a background check. All administrative work is managed for the teacher (e.g. scheduling, billing, ordering materials, etc.) The studio is equipped with teaching materials. Free parking onsite & accessible by public transit 4 weeks of paid vacation

Company Description We are a small, but growing, successful music school located in Brookline MA. We believe music has to be thought of in a functional, practical and fun way. We believe learning comes from experience at first rather than starting with theory. Music for us in the daily routine becomes a distraction of our stress, no matter the age of the student, so we approach the instrument and music with happiness and positive thoughts. Role Description This is a full-time/par-time on-site role located in Boston, MA for a guitar, bass, piano Teacher. The teacher will be imparting/explaining thelessons, through songs to students of all ages (starting at 10year old) and skill levels. The teacher will also be expected to establish and maintain a positive learning environment and to communicate effectively with students and their guardians. Host 2 student recitals in the year, spring and winter. Qualifications Experience in Guitar, Bass, Ukulele, Piano Instruction Knowledge of Music Theory and Music Background in Music Education, Music Performance, Music Therapy, or related field is preferred. Ability to communicate clear ideas and impart the book method in a clear and smooth way. Strong communication and interpersonal skills Patience and enthusiasm for teaching students of varying ages and abilities Previous teaching experience is a must Bachelor's degree in Music, Music Education, Music Therapy, Improvisation, or related field is preferred.
