Description:

We have a need to fill a short-term position teaching piano, as one of our faculty members had an unexpected late start. Please see the job details below. DeFranco Music LLC is seeking a piano instructor to teach private lessons at Dexter Southfield. Teaching hours are Monday and Thursday afternoons, between 3:45-6:00 PM. This is a temporary contract with the possibility of extending, should we require a teacher for the remainder of the fall semester. As of now, we require a teacher for the following dates: Mondays, September 14 & 28 (no lessons September 21) Thursdays, September 17, 24 & October 1 DeFranco Music LLC partners with Dexter Southfield to offer on-campus music lessons to over 70 Lower, Middle, and Upper School students. Our skilled faculty offer instruction in voice, piano, guitar, ukulele, violin, clarinet, saxophone, and trumpet. We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible teacher who enjoys working with beginners. Our teachers strive to nurture a lifelong love of music — and it begins here!

Qualifications:

Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Music Education, Piano Performance, Piano Pedagogy, or Collaborative Piano At least three years of experience teaching elementary-aged students (approximately ages 5-10)

Note:

This position is for exclusively 1:1 (private) lessons A high (professional) level of piano proficiency, along with professionalism, patience, and kindness with students
