To Be Determined Job Description About the position: Shady Hill School is seeking a Vocal Music Ensemble Teacher for our 7th and 8th grade Arts Electives program. The class of 10
  • 15 students meets on Tuesdays from 8:25am
  • 9:55am and Thursdays from 10:25am
  • 11:10am.
Classes will run for 1 trimester (approximately 11 weeks). Teachers may be hired for the full year or term-by-term. The Fall semester begins September 9, 2026. The Vocal Music Ensemble Teacher for the winter term will co-direct the Winter Musical. The ideal candidate for this position has a background in a range of genres and styles, is able to accompany the ensemble, and has experience working with students of mixed experience and abilities. Repertoire selection and curriculum will be designed by the teacher, with support from the Music Department. Experience with Kodaly or Conversational Solfege is a plus. The compensation per trimester is $2,489.91 for the fall and spring and $3,415.91 for the winter when co-directing the Winter Musical. Employees are additionally compensated for required trainings and meetings. Based on the scheduled hours, this position is not eligible for benefits.
