enrichment activities. Building Bridges Through Music, Inc. (BBTM) is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and creative Part-Time Music Teacher to join our Groove School After-School Program. We are looking for a musician and educator who enjoys working with children and understands how to make music instruction fun, engaging, encouraging, and age-appropriate . The ideal candidate will have experience teaching piano

•and other instruments, as well as basic-to-intermediate music theory

•, along with a diverse musical background and the ability to introduce students to a range of musical styles, concepts, and creative experiences. Our goal is not only to teach children how to play music, but also to help them develop confidence, creativity, discipline, self-expression, and a lifelong appreciation for music .

Requirements:
Required/Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated proficiency in piano . Strong knowledge of music theory and music fundamentals . Previous experience teaching music to children, preferably elementary or school-age students. Ability to make lessons engaging and enjoyable while maintaining clear learning goals. Ability to work with students with different personalities, learning styles, abilities, and musical skill levels. Strong communication, patience, dependability, and classroom-management skills. Ability to develop positive relationships with children while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries. Experience preparing children for performances is a plus. Knowledge of additional instruments, vocal instruction, music production, percussion, songwriting, or other areas of music is highly desirable. Formal music education, college-level music study, professional performance experience, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.

$23.00 - $30.00 per hour
