Annual Salary Range:

$57,000 - $122,000

Xaverian is an independent Catholic school for boys in grades 7-12, sponsored by the Xaverian Brothers. Located in Westwood, Massachusetts, this college-prep school welcomes students from approximately 90 communities across Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Xaverian was established in 1963 and presently enrolls over 960 students.

General Expectations:

Xaverian is seeking applications for a full-time Middle/High School Music Teacher, with a focus on middle and high school concert band, as well as jazz, pep, and marching band. Applicants will have demonstrated content knowledge and pedagogic skill relative to music education. A history of collaborating with other educators, as well as the ability to maintain and adapt existing curricula to meet the ever-changing needs of students is required. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using a variety of instructional and assessment tools, and a willingness to be involved in the school community beyond the classroom setting. Candidates should have a degree in music, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as an enthusiasm for the school's mission as a Catholic and Xaverian Brothers Sponsored School. Ideal candidates would have experience in other musical disciplines, including orchestra and/or chorus.
