Musikgarten/Music Immersion: Early Music Education Teacher
Job Description
Naptown Sings and Plays is looking for a nurturing and upbeat teacher to teach music classes for children ages 0-6 at our new Glen Burnie location
Hours:
Tuesdays from 5-5:45 PM (pay is $45 per class) Fridays from 9:30-10:45 (pay is $65 per class) • One person may work all of these shifts, or we may hire multiple teachers to cover, depending on availability • Class Descriptions from theWebsite:
Musikgarten for 0-3Year Olds:
Founded in fun and modern research, Musikgarten introduces your little one to a new musical world as we, bounce, dance, shake, play, tap, jingle, and move our way through class. Enjoy this bonding time with your child, social interaction with others (from a distance), and an immersive introduction to both the foundations of music and the extramusical benefits of cognitive, social, and physical development. Music Immersion for 3-5Year Olds:
Our popular Music Immersion class is the perfect building block for our early learners to become immersed in a little bit of everything musical, from steady beat, basic rhythmic and tonal patterns to an introduction to piano, ukulele, and singing, to music history, world music, pop music and more. Pre-Instruments for 4-6Year Olds:
We are so excited to add a new class to our roster! Pre-Instruments class is for students who are ready to explore instruments a little more in-depth than what Music Immersion offers: piano, ukulele, world drums. Students will get their hands on these instruments, learn basic scales, chords, and rhythms, as well gain an understanding basic musical terms that accompany these instruments. Similar to Music Immersion, students will be exposed to various genres, world music, and music history, and get their grooves on through music and movement.Job Requirements and Preferences:
1) Experience working with babies, toddlers, and young children 2) Proficiency in singing and reading basic music 3) Proficiency in primary instrument (pre-instruments) 4) Excellent classroom management skills 5) Ability to make music fun and engaging for students and parentsJob Type:
