Job Description
Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Piano Teacher to inspire students of all ages to explore and excel in the art of piano playing. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in music instruction, classroom management, and curriculum development, with a particular focus on working with children and youth. Duties Design and implement comprehensive piano curricula tailored to students' skill levels and learning goals Deliver engaging, interactive lessons that promote musical understanding, technique, and performance skills Manage classroom environments effectively to ensure a positive, disciplined learning atmosphere Develop creative lesson plans that incorporate music theory, sight-reading, improvisation, and performance preparation Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to motivate improvement Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress reports, and lesson plans in compliance with program standards Skills Proven experience teaching piano and working with diverse age groups, especially children and youth programs Strong knowledge of curriculum development tailored for beginner to advanced levels Excellent classroom management skills to foster a respectful and motivating environment Ability to teach visual & performing arts with creativity and enthusiasm Skilled in working with students on instrumental performance techniques and music theory fundamentals Familiarity with early childhood education principles and special education accommodations as needed Competence in lesson planning that integrates arts education across multiple disciplines such as photography or sewing for holistic artistic development Effective behavior management strategies to support childhood development and foster positive learning experiences Passion for teaching arts—music, dance, theater—and inspiring lifelong appreciation for creative expression Join us as a piano teacher where your expertise will ignite passion for the arts in every student you teach.
