Job Description

MSAD 41 -Music Educator- MSAD 41 is seeking a passionate and creative K-12 Music Educator to inspire our students' musical journey. The ideal candidate will create an engaging, inclusive music program that builds fundamental skills while igniting a lifelong appreciation for music across diverse genres and cultural traditions. MSAD 41 is located in beautiful Piscataquis County and has a student population of approximately 600 students over four schools: Marion C Cook (PK), Milo Elementary School (K-2), Brownville Elementary School (3-4), and Penquis Valley Middle High School (5-12). This is a full-time position for the 2026-2027 school year and beyond. Successful candidates will demonstrate evidence of the following: Develop and deliver standards-based music curriculum in general music education, instrumental music (band), and vocal music. Create lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities Incorporate technology and multimedia resources to enhance instruction Assess student progress regularly and provide meaningful feedback Foster a classroom environment that encourages respectful discussion and inquiry Participate in school-wide activities, professional development, and department meetings Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student success
Qualifications:
Maine Department of Education Music Teaching Certification 614 (PK-12); Ed Tech II and III certification will be considered. Bachelor's degree in related field Classroom experience preferred Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills MSAD 41

Teacher Salary:
$45,250-72,907/yr
Ed Tech III Rate:
$21.32-28.32/hr
Ed Tech II Rate:
