7:50 AM 3:25 PMPosition SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Band/Orchestra Teacher to inspire students through instrumental music education. The ideal candidate will provide engaging instruction, develop students' musical skills, and foster a lifelong appreciation for music. This position includes directing ensembles, preparing students for performances, and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Essential ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver instrumental music instruction aligned with district and state standards.

Teach music theory, technique, performance skills, and ensemble participation.

Direct band and/or orchestra rehearsals and performances.

Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.

Prepare students for concerts, festivals, and other performances.

Maintain music inventory, instruments, and classroom equipment.

Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Collaborate with fellow educators, administrators, and families.

Attend staff meetings, professional development, and school events as required.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Music Education or related field required.

Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate or eligibility to obtain certification preferred.

Experience teaching instrumental music preferred.

Strong knowledge of instrumental techniques and ensemble instruction.

Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
