Job Description
Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education and a commitment to fostering a love for music in students of all ages. This role involves utilizing engaging lesson plans, managing classroom dynamics, and providing individualized support to enhance students' musical abilities. The Music Teacher will work with children and adults, adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
Locations:
Maplewood, Benton Park, and Maryland Heights- can be considered for single or multiple locations Specific instruments and areas needed: piano, voice, songwriting/composition, violin, viola, cello, drums, percussion, saxophone, clarinet and/or trumpet. May be proficient in one or more instrument. Responsibilities Implement comprehensive music curricula that cater to various skill levels and age groups. Teach music theory, instrument proficiency, vocal techniques, and performance skills. Manage classroom behavior effectively, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. Student performances to showcase student progress and talent. Collaborate with other educators to integrate music education into broader curricular activities. Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback to students and parents. Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practices. Experience Proven experience in teaching music, including lesson planning and classroom management. Familiarity with curriculum development tailored for various age groups, including early childhood education and adult education. Experience working with children in educational settings, music performance experience or other relatable fields. Skills in behavior management and understanding of childhood development principles.Job Type:
