This position is ideal for experienced educators who enjoy building meaningful relationships with students and families while teaching in a supportive, professional environment. Our team handles the scheduling, billing, enrollment, and administrative details so you can focus on delivering engaging, high-quality music instruction. Whether you specialize in one instrument or teach multiple, we'd love to hear from you. Responsibilities Travel to students' homes for weekly private lessons. Teach Piano, Voice, Guitar, or a combination of these instruments based on your expertise. Develop lessons that are engaging, organized, and tailored to each student's goals and learning style. Help students build strong musical foundations, confidence, creativity, and performance skills. Encourage consistent progress while creating a positive and enjoyable lesson experience. Maintain professional communication with families. Submit attendance and lesson notes through our online instructor portal. Represent Lesson Adventures with professionalism, reliability, and enthusiasm. We're Looking For Someone Who... Is passionate about teaching and inspiring students. Qualifications At least 1-2 years of private or classroom music teaching experience. Degree in Music, Music Education, Performance, or comparable professional experience preferred. Strong proficiency on your primary instrument(s). Experience teaching children is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally. Ability to successfully pass a background check. Have a valid NC Drivers Licence Proof of Auto Insurance Preferred Experience Teaching multiple instruments (Piano, Voice, Guitar, Ukulele, etc.). Preparing students for recitals, auditions, competitions, or festivals. Teaching students across a variety of ages and experience levels. Schedule Part-time position with room for growth. Most instructors begin with 2-4 teaching hours per week , with opportunities to increase to 10+ hours as enrollment grows. Availability during weekday afternoons and evenings (approximately 4:00 PM-8:00 PM ) is required. Availability at least one to two afternoons/evenings each week . Saturday morning availability is a plus. Reliable weekly availability is expected. Compensation & Perks Competitive hourly pay between $40-$50 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
