Lesson Adventures is seeking an exceptional In-Home Piano Instructor to join our growing team of professional music educators. We provide premium in-home piano lessons to families throughout Cary, Apex, Holly Springs, New Hill, and surrounding communities, allowing our instructors to focus on what they do best—teaching—while we handle scheduling, billing, and administrative support. We're looking for more than someone who can play piano. We're looking for an educator who loves teaching, builds meaningful relationships with students, and is committed to helping every student reach their full musical potential. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher looking to build a consistent, long-term teaching schedule with a supportive studio that values professionalism and educational excellence. What You'll Do Travel to students' homes to teach weekly private piano lessons Create engaging, individualized lesson plans based on each student's age, goals, and learning style Teach students from beginner through intermediate and advanced levels a plus Foster proper technique, musicianship, music literacy, creativity, and confidence Make lessons enjoyable through a balance of structure, encouragement, and creativity Communicate professionally with families while building long-lasting relationships Track attendance and lesson notes through our online student management system Represent Lesson Adventures with professionalism, warmth, and reliability Our Ideal Instructor You genuinely enjoy teaching and helping students succeed. You are patient, encouraging, organized, and dependable. You understand that every student learns differently and know how to adapt your teaching style. You value consistency and are looking for a long-term teaching opportunity Qualifications Minimum 1-2 years of piano teaching experience Degree in Music, Music Education, Piano Performance, or equivalent professional experience Strong foundation in piano pedagogy, technique, music theory, and sight reading Experience teaching children is required (adult teaching experience is a plus) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally Ability to pass a background check Preferred Experience preparing students for recitals, festivals, or auditions Experience teaching multiple age groups and skill levels Ability to teach a second instrument is a plus Schedule Part-time with the opportunity to grow alongside our expanding studio. Typical teaching assignments begin with approximately 2-3 teaching hours per week with potential to reach 10+ teaching hours per week, with continued growth opportunities based on availability and student enrollment. After-school availability is required (approximately 4:00 PM-8:00 PM) Availability at least 1-2 afternoons/evenings per week Weekend availability is a plus (Saturday Mornings) Consistent weekly availability is required Compensation & Benefits Starting at $40+ per hour based on experience and qualifications Weekly pay Consistent recurring students Paid for scheduled lessons, even when students are absent Set your own schedule Administrative support—we handle scheduling, billing, and family communication Supportive, professional teaching community Opportunity to build a long-term teaching schedule with motivated students and wonderful families Why Lesson Adventures?
