Guitar, Ukulele Teacher (Instructor) Meadowlark Music Chapel Hill, NC Job Details Part-time | Contract $40 - $45 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Music Teaching arts Working with students Guitar playing Teaching Teaching instrumental performance Full Job Description We are looking for a GUITAR and/or UKULELE teacher that is passionate about students "joyfully discovering music!" We embrace the true joy and connection of playing music, while also engaging students in amply rigorous (developmentally appropriate) curriculum to grow and develop as musicians. Our current guitar/ukulele teacher has a growing studio and we need an additional teacher, starting in September. Meadowlark Music Studio is located at 930 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Chapel Hill, NC. There are two studio rooms, and a comfortable, welcoming waiting room for parents and siblings. Students can come to the studio for lessons (no teacher travel between lessons!) Teachers can opt to travel to student lessons (if preferred) Work environment is a small business that is owned and operated by a fellow teacher (a job where teachers are unequivocally beloved and celebrated! hip hip!) Flexible Schedule- decide what day(s) work for you Studio space is beautiful and peaceful, with a waiting/listening room for parents Must have: Degree in Music, or equivalent experience Experience Teaching Lessons Experience Performing Ability to teach multiple levels/ages of students Also note: If you teach Singing/Voice or any other instruments, that could be incorporated as well. We offer baby-toddler classes also, so some student requests may be younger. We'd like to build a little world of magic and music (and consistency), so we need a teacher to be here for a minimum of 1 year... and no maximum. :) Looking forward to hearing from you.
