Guitar Teacher - Waxhaw & Marvin, NC Creative Melodies is looking for a guitar teacher to join our team as an independent contractor and teach private, in-home lessons in the Waxhaw and Marvin areas. We are currently building teacher schedules as new students enroll. This is a part-time opportunity with flexibility around your availability.
What the position looks like:
Private, one-on-one guitar lessons in students' homes Part-time, independent contractor (1099) position Approximately $33-$42 per teaching hour, based on experience Weekday afternoon and evening availability Optional Saturday availability Flexible scheduling based on your availability Students are provided Responsibilities include: Teaching guitar lessons to students of various ages and experience levels Planning lessons around each student's goals and learning style Helping students develop musical skills, confidence, and consistent practice habits Communicating with families about student progress Preparing interested students for optional recitals and performances
Qualifications:
At least one year of guitar teaching experience Experience working with children Strong guitar performance skills Reliable transportation Ability to pass a background check A bachelor's degree in music, music education, or a related field is preferred but not required. Creative Melodies provides support with scheduling and billing, while teachers focus on instruction and their students. Teachers also have opportunities to participate in student recitals and performances throughout the year.
