Piano and Voice Teacher - Waxhaw & Marvin, NC Creative Melodies is looking for a piano and voice teacher to join our team as an independent contractor and teach private, in-home lessons in the Waxhaw and Marvin areas. We are currently building teacher schedules for Fall 2026 as new students enroll. This is a part-time opportunity with flexibility around your availability.
What the position looks like:
Private, one-on-one piano and voice lessons in students' homes Part-time, independent contractor (1099) position Approximately $33-$42 per teaching hour Weekday afternoon and evening availability Optional Saturday availability Flexible scheduling based on your availability Students are provided Responsibilities include: Teaching piano and voice lessons to students of various ages and experience levels Planning lessons around each student's goals and learning style Helping students develop musical skills, confidence, and consistent practice habits Communicating with families about student progress Preparing interested students for optional recitals and performances
Qualifications:
At least one year of piano teaching experience Experience working with children Strong piano and voice performance skills Reliable transportation Ability to pass a background check A bachelor's degree in music, music education, or a related field is preferred but not required. Creative Melodies provides support with scheduling and billing, while teachers focus on instruction and their students. Teachers also have opportunities to participate in student recitals and performances throughout the year.
