Job Description

Do you believe that music has the power to build community? The Nashua Community Music School is looking to hire a part-time Violin Instructor to inspire a new generation of musicians. Qualifications The ideal applicant must Have a genuine passion for teaching students of all ages and abilities Believe that high quality music experiences should be accessible to all Possess advanced knowledge of cello pedagogy and practice Be comfortable delivering lessons primarily in person and remote on occasion Have a Bachelor's Degree in Music (experience will be considered in lieu of degree) Particular interest will be given to applicants who can play and teach double bass Opportunities for special community workshops, programs, and performances available
About NCMS:
The mission of the nonprofit Nashua Community Music School is to create innovative music programs that are accessible to all. NCMS offers music education opportunities for all ages including: private music lessons, group classes, ensembles, Music Therapy, Music Outreach Programs, and summer camps. We appreciate teachers who create meaningful connections with our students while supporting our efforts as a nonprofit community service-based organization. We are responsible for all scheduling, marketing, recruiting, and communications for your studio so all you need to focus on is the thing you love to do: teaching. Preferred availability would be during current studio hours on Mondays 2:00-8:00pm.
