Job Description
Overview Music-Fest is seeking an enthusiastic and engaging Group Piano Teacher to lead beginner piano classes for young children. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys teaching in a fun, interactive group setting and has experience working with children through piano instruction, early childhood music, or elementary music education. Responsibilities Teach weekly beginner group piano classes for children (ages approximately 3-10) Create a positive, energetic, and encouraging classroom atmosphere Introduce students to keyboard technique, rhythm, note reading, and basic musicianship Keep students engaged through games, movement, creative activities, and ensemble experiences Communicate professionally with parents when needed Qualifications Experience teaching beginning piano students Experience teaching groups of young children is strongly preferred Candidates with backgrounds in early childhood music, Kindermusik, Music Together, elementary music education, Yamaha Group Piano, preschool music programs, or similar child-centered music programs are encouraged to apply. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Patient, enthusiastic, creative, and dependable. Degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field is preferred Passion for inspiring young beginners and making music learning fun and engaging. Location Princeton, NJ Schedule Saturday classes Part-time Flexible number of teaching hours depending on enrollment About Music-Fest Music-Fest has been providing high-quality music education since 2007.
