This position combines Catholic religious education with a flexible music program that can be tailored to the candidate's background and expertise. Music instruction may include music appreciation, chorus, instrumental education, general music, or a combination of these areas. Responsibilities Teach age-appropriate Catholic religious education aligned with the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church. Incorporate prayer, Scripture, saints, liturgical seasons, and Catholic traditions into instruction. Encourage and coordinate student community service and service-learning opportunities . Support the Catholic identity and mission of the school through participation in liturgies, prayer services, and school activities. Provide engaging music instruction based on the candidate's expertise, such as music appreciation, composers and musical genres, chorus, instruments, music theory, or performance. Develop opportunities for students to share their musical talents through concerts, liturgies, assemblies, and other school events. Collaborate with colleagues to integrate faith, music, and the arts across the curriculum. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Music, Music Education, Theology, Religious Education, Education, or a related field preferred. Strong musical background and knowledge of the Catholic faith. Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students preferred. Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills. Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
