Maestro Musicians Academy is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Guitar Teacher to join our growing music academy in Woodmere (next to Beachwood), Ohio. We believe music lessons should do more than teach songs and technique. Great music education helps students develop confidence, perseverance, creativity, independence, and a lifelong appreciation for music. Our administrative team handles scheduling, billing, and family communication so our teachers can focus on what matters most: teaching. Position Overview We are looking for an engaging guitar teacher to provide one-on-one private lessons to children, teens, and adults. The ideal candidate combines strong musicianship with an ability to connect with students and adapt instruction to different ages, interests, and learning styles. Experience teaching acoustic and/or electric guitar is preferred. The ability to teach bass guitar and/or ukulele is a plus, but not required. As our Cleveland-area location continues to grow, there is an opportunity to build a consistent student roster over time. Responsibilities Teach engaging one-on-one guitar lessons Develop students' technique, musicianship, and musical independence Adapt instruction to students' ages, goals, and learning styles Help students explore appropriate repertoire while building strong musical fundamentals Create an encouraging, structured learning environment Communicate student progress with families when appropriate Maintain lesson notes and attendance records Prepare interested students for recitals and other performance opportunities Arrive prepared and on time for scheduled lessons Qualifications We are especially interested in candidates who have: A bachelor's degree in music or equivalent professional training/experience Strong guitar performance skills Previous private teaching experience Experience working with children and teens Strong communication and interpersonal skills Dependability and professionalism A genuine interest in helping students grow Bass and/or ukulele teaching experience is a plus.
