Job Description
Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher to provide high-quality private and group lessons in our retail store. In this role, you'll teach students of varying ages and skill levels, create engaging lesson plans, and help them progress toward musical and performance goals. You'll collaborate with store staff to support rentals, repairs, and events, while promoting a positive, student-focused learning environment. Ideal candidates are skilled musicians with teaching experience, strong communication, and a commitment to music education and community engagement. Responsibilities Provide private and group music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels Develop and follow individualized lesson plans aligned with student goals Assess student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents Collaborate with store staff to support rentals, repairs, and in-store events Promote additional lessons, instruments, and accessories as appropriate Maintain an inclusive, student-focused, and safe learning environment Prepare students for recitals, performances, and auditions Accurately track attendance, scheduling, and basic lesson documentation Required Skills Music instruction Lesson planning Classroom/lesson management Student assessment Music theory knowledge Instrument proficiency Performance preparation Communication Customer service Basic scheduling and record-keeping
