Job Description

Music Teacher We're seeking a passionate and creative Music Teacher to inspire students through the power of music at Lebanon School District. In this role, you'll guide students through engaging learning experiences in instrumental music, band, orchestra, and music appreciation while fostering creativity, collaboration, self-expression, and a lifelong love of music.

Creating engaging lessons that bring music to life through performance, rehearsal, and creative expression Building a safe, positive learning environment where students feel confident developing their musical talents Masterfully balancing instruction, demonstration, rehearsal, and performance opportunities Maintaining musical instruments and instructional materials while promoting proper care and responsibility Connecting classroom learning to school performances and community events that showcase student achievement
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE)
Music Certification Your Impact:
As our Music Teacher, you'll have the opportunity to: Design and deliver engaging music curriculum in instrumental music, band, orchestra, and related music programs Guide students in developing musical performance skills through rehearsals, performances, and individualized instruction Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of learners at varying ability levels in inclusive classroom settings Use data-driven insights to strengthen student achievement and instructional effectiveness Plan, rehearse, and direct musical performances for school and community audiences Maintain an accurate inventory of musical instruments, equipment, and instructional resources Collaborate with colleagues to support student growth and enrich the overall educational experience Participate in curriculum development and professional learning to continuously improve instructional practices

Work Environment:
You'll lead students in a dynamic music classroom and performance environment designed to foster creativity, collaboration, and artistic growth. The position requires the ability to move throughout the classroom and performance spaces, conduct rehearsals, supervise students during performances and school activities, utilize instructional technology and musical equipment, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
