Part Time Music Teacher Location:
Johnston, RI 02919 Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part Time Music Teacher to join our team in Johnston, RI. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching music to students from Pre-Kindergarten 3 through Grade 8. This position requires availability three days a week and involves leading students in musical education as well as organizing and directing school concerts and liturgical music. Key Responsibilities Teach music to students from PK 3 to Grade 8, fostering a love for music and developing their skills. Plan, prepare, and lead the annual Christmas concert and Spring concert. Plan and coordinate liturgical music for school masses, ensuring appropriate selections and student participation. Create engaging lesson plans that accommodate different learning styles and skill levels. Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment. Collaborate with school staff and administration to support the overall educational mission. Qualifications Experience teaching music to young children and middle school students (PK 3 to Grade 8). Strong knowledge of music theory, vocal and instrumental techniques. Ability to plan and direct school concerts and liturgical music. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Organized, reliable, and enthusiastic about music education. Schedule This is a part-time position requiring availability three days per week.
