Job Overview Hiring for multiple positions, piano, voice, guitar, voilin instructors, and more. Monroe Music Academy is looking for an enthusiastic music instructor to join our growing teaching team. An ideal candidate can teach private music lessons for any one of the above instruments OR ukulele, mandolin, bass, banjo, woodwinds or brass. The ability to teach multiple instruments is a plus and can lead to a larger student roster, but it is not required. Experience with other instruments not listed may also be considered. This position is ideal for someone with strong background in music, enjoys working with students of various ages and skill levels, and is excited about helping students grow musically in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities Design and deliver engaging music lessons that encourage creativity and musical growth Teach core musical skills such as pitch, rhythm, tone, reading musical notation, and basic music theory Adapt lesson plans to match each student's goals, learning style, and experience level Create a positive, encouraging studio environment that supports student confidence and progress Prepare students for recitals, performances, and showcase opportunities Track student development and adjust teaching approaches as needed Desired Qualifications Strong foundation in your instrument and general music skills and reading music Prior teaching, coaching, or tutoring experience is preferred but not required Ability to manage lessons effectively while keeping students motivated and engaged Genuine enthusiasm for music education and student success Clear communication skills when working with students, families, and staff Position Details
