You will design engaging lesson plans, teach students of varying ages and skill levels, and track progress toward musical and educational goals. Partner with store staff to support lesson enrollment, recitals, and events while promoting instruments, accessories, and print music that enhance learning. Responsibilities Deliver private and group music lessons to students of various ages and skill levels Create and adapt lesson plans aligned with student goals and abilities Assess student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school performances Collaborate with store staff to grow and retain lesson enrollment Recommend instruments, accessories, and materials that support student learning Maintain accurate schedules, attendance, and student records Uphold a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment in the lesson studio Participate in in-store events, recitals, and community outreach programs Follow company policies, including student safety and compliance procedures Required Skills Music theory knowledge Instrument proficiency (band/orchestra or piano/guitar/voice) Lesson planning Classroom and studio management Student assessment and progress tracking Basic music technology (metronomes, apps, recording) Parent communication Scheduling and time management Retail point-of-sale familiarity Curriculum development
