Piano, Voice, Guitar, or Cello ($45•55/hr) Dallas, TX (Highland Park / Lakewood area) Why Join NSMA?

Earn $45.00•$55.00 per hour as a W2 Employee (meaning employer contributions are covered and taxes are handled for you).

All student residences are within a 5-mile radius of our Mockingbird Station hub (Zip codes: 75205, 75214, 75206, 75209, 75218, 75238, 75225).
No Admin Work:
We provide all billing, streamlined scheduling, parent communication, and recital venue booking. Your focus remains 100% on teaching.

Job Summary:
New Song Music Academy is a private music lesson company dedicated to helping students of all ages become fully developed musicians. We are currently looking for ambitious, passionate, and dedicated instructors to join our rapidly expanding team. The primary role involves providing private lessons at student residences and attending student performances. As an NSMA instructor, you will be a team player, follow standard lesson formats, and collaborate regularly with our faculty.
Requirements Location:
Must live in the Dallas, TX area (Highland Park, Lakewood, Preston Hollow, White Rock, or Lake Highlands) or be willing to commute.
Experience:
This is not an entry-level position . Instructors must have previous teaching experience.
Education:
Formal training in music, such as private lessons and/or collegiate schooling, is required.
Technical Skill:
Ability to sight-read sheet music and play lead sheets for contemporary music.
Transportation:
Must have reliable transportation to travel to student homes.
Commitment:
Instructors must commit to 1+ year of teaching at NSMA.
Disposition:
Must have a patient heart to teach beginners, a passion for working with children and adults, and high attention to detail.
Primary Responsibilities:
Teach students using Standard NSMA Lesson formats and provided curriculums. Maintain accurate records of student progress in your NSMA Student Roster (updated weekly). Manage your NSMA Google Calendar to accurately reflect lessons taught. Help students select engaging music for bi-annual Student Recitals . Build strong rapport with families to cultivate a deep, lifelong love for music. Participate as a faculty member in academy performances and collaborative meetings.

$45.00•$55.00 per hour (Paid bi-weekly).
Hours of Operation:
12:00 PM•8:00 PM (Flexible start dates available).
