This position is ideal for a musician-educator who delights in teaching children, values beauty and order, and desires to integrate music instruction within a classical Christian framework. Position Overview The Music Teacher will provide age-appropriate instruction that introduces students to the fundamentals of music while cultivating a love for singing, rhythm, melody, and musical excellence. Instruction should support the school's commitment to classical education and Christian formation. Teaching Responsibilities Teach general music classes across multiple grade levels Lead students in singing, rhythm, and basic music theory Introduce classical composers, hymns, and folk songs Support seasonal programs, recitations, or school events as requested Maintain an orderly, joyful, and engaging classroom environment Qualifications Background in music education or equivalent professional experience Experience teaching children preferred Ability to play the piano proficiently and accompany group singing Ability to read music and lead group singing Organized, prepared, and dependable Love for children and delight in teaching Commitment to Christian education and classical formation Agreement with the school's Statement of Faith Ability to provide pastoral references upon request Schedule Part-Time One day per week
