This role offers an exciting opportunity to foster musical talent, develop students' confidence, and cultivate a love for the arts in a dynamic after-school environment. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a strong background in teaching musical instruments, arts, and performance to diverse age groups. This paid position emphasizes fun, learning, and personal growth for both students and instructors alike. Duties Design and implement engaging guitar lessons tailored to students' skill levels, incorporating curriculum development principles to ensure progressive learning. Manage classroom dynamics effectively by applying classroom management techniques that promote respectful behavior and active participation. Lead students in musical instrument practice, performance preparation, and improvisation exercises to enhance their instrumental skills. Integrate visual arts, choreography, dance instruction, and theater elements into creative projects to enrich the overall learning experience. Organize small group activities, rehearsals, and performances that foster teamwork, confidence, and artistic expression. Maintain a safe, inclusive environment by managing behavior issues promptly and professionally while encouraging positive social interactions. Collaborate with parents, guardians, and school staff to track student progress and provide feedback on development milestones. Requirements Proven experience working with children in educational or extracurricular settings, especially in youth programs teaching arts or music. Strong background in teaching guitar or other musical instruments with demonstrated ability in lesson planning and curriculum development. Knowledge of classroom management strategies suitable for young learners of various ages. Experience teaching visual & performing arts such as dance, theater, choreography or related creative disciplines. Familiarity with early childhood education principles and preschool or childcare experience is highly desirable. Ability to work well with students of diverse backgrounds while fostering an inclusive atmosphere. Excellent communication skills with a passion for inspiring creativity through arts instruction. Additional skills such as photography, sewing, cooking, or culinary arts are considered a plus but are not required.
