Company Description At Anthem School of Music, we are committed to exceptional music education. We have been San Antonio's trusted private music lesson provider since 2007 and we instruct year round. Our customized lesson plans cater to all levels, ages, and genres of music and showcase progress at concerts, clinics, and more. We have a diverse and exciting program that caters to all ages and abilities with a safe learning environment and highly qualified and background verified instructors. Role Description We are currently seeking a guitar and piano Instructor for our San Antonio, TX location (this is NOT a remote/virtual position) . We are seeking an instructor familiar with techniques for beginner to intermediate learners. Ability to teach multiple instruments is a plus. Responsibilities The Music Instructor will be responsible for teaching and instructing students of all ages (5 years to adults) in music theory, techniques, and performance. In addition, the instructor will provide progress reports, create lesson plans, upload assignments and create lessons in our scheduling app. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, passionate, and energetic with exceptional communication skills. This position requires availability in the afternoon/evenings and weekends as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Music Preferred but not required, Education or related field Minimum of 1-2 years' experience teaching music to students of all ages Knowledge of simple music theory and ability to incorporate into lessons Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work in a team-oriented environment Flexibility and adaptability to teach a wide range of genres Background check and/or fingerprinting may be required Instructor must have reliable transportation. Instructors are considered contract workers. This position may be a part-time role depending on availability, instruments and student body.
