Specialist, Music Please Provide:
Cover Letter Resume Three Letters of Recommendation This position is for 10 hours per week during school hours. Position Overview The Specialist, Music instructs students in music theory, performance, and appreciation while integrating music with other academic disciplines and providing opportunities for students to showcase their talents through performances and programs. Key Responsibilities Provide weekly music instruction aligned with district curriculum. Develop engaging music lessons to encourage student participation and creativity. Collaborate with teachers to integrate music with classroom instruction. Prepare students for performances including concerts and school programs. Maintain musical instruments and audio equipment. Monitor students to ensure a safe learning environment. Prepare lesson plans, documentation, and program records. Organize and manage classroom materials and supplies. Promote music programs through performances and school events. Research and apply for grants to support music programs. Participate in meetings and professional development activities. Perform other related duties as assigned. Job Requirements - Minimum Qualifications Skills Planning and managing music instruction and performances Maintaining program records and documentation Knowledge Music theory and appreciation Stages of child development Abilities Teach music concepts to elementary students Lead student performances and activities Communicate effectively with students and staff Responsibility Works under direct supervision while coordinating music instruction and program activities. Work Environment Work is performed primarily in classroom and performance environments. Experience Music instruction experience desired. Education High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Education K-6 Music endorsement. FLSA Status Non-Exempt
