Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Guitar Instructor to join our team on a part-time, in-person basis. The instructor will primarily conduct private lessons for children and teenagers during afternoon and evening hours. This role offers an opportunity to inspire young musicians while focusing solely on teaching, as scheduling and tuition collection are managed by TOVA. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching children, a passion for music education, and the ability to create engaging, age-appropriate lessons. Duties Conduct private guitar lessons for children and teenagers in a one-on-one setting. Develop customized lesson plans tailored to each student's skill level and musical interests. Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment to motivate students. Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback. Maintain professional punctuality and prepare lesson materials in advance. Collaborate with TOVA staff regarding scheduling and student needs, ensuring smooth lesson delivery. Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere conducive to learning. Experience Prior experience teaching children and teenagers is required. A music degree or equivalent professional experience in guitar performance or instruction is preferred. Strong communication skills suitable for working with young learners. Passion for music education and the ability to inspire students of varying skill levels. Reliable, organized, and able to manage scheduling within designated afternoon/evening hours. Pay:
$32.11 - $38.67 per hour
