Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Guitar & Ukulele Instructor to inspire students of all ages and skill levels through engaging and personalized music instruction. In this role, you will help students develop strong technical skills, musicianship, and confidence while fostering a lifelong love for music. This is a paid, in-person position in a creative and supportive teaching environment. Responsibilities Teach engaging private and group guitar and ukulele lessons for students of all ages. Develop customized lesson plans based on each student's goals, skill level, and learning style. Incorporate technique, rhythm training, sight-reading or tab reading, and basic improvisation. Support student progress for both recreational learners and those preparing for recitals or performances. Maintain a positive, respectful, and motivating classroom environment. Communicate with families regarding student progress and expectations. Participate in recitals, special events, and occasional birthday parties as needed. Maintain accurate attendance and basic student progress records. Qualifications Degree in music performance, music education, or current enrollment in a music program (or equivalent teaching/performing experience). Experience teaching guitar and/or ukulele to children, teens, and adults. Ability to teach beginner through intermediate students (advanced a plus). Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills. Reliable, professional, and enthusiastic personality. Comfort working with young beginners and group classes is a plus. Compensation Competitive hourly rates based on experience, with additional pay for birthday parties and special events. Schedule Part-time, afternoons/evenings and some weekends.
