Job Overview Music Love Academy in Fairfax, Virginia, is seeking a passionate and patient Violin Teacher to provide engaging instruction for students of all ages and abilities, including neurodivergent children. In this role, you will help students develop violin technique, musical expression, and confidence while adapting lessons to their individual goals and learning needs. Duties Plan violin lessons tailored to each student's age, skill level, interests, and goals. Teach private, semi-private, and group lessons that develop technique, music reading, rhythm, listening, and musical expression. Adapt instruction for neurodivergent children using flexible pacing, clear routines, visual supports, movement breaks, and other approaches suited to the individual student. Respect students' sensory needs and communication preferences while encouraging participation. Create a positive learning environment that supports confidence, creativity, and steady progress. Prepare students for recitals and performances according to their readiness, interests, and comfort. Communicate with families about progress, practice strategies, and learning goals. Collaborate with fellow instructors to support an inclusive music program. Requirements Strong violin performance skills and experience teaching violin. A degree in music, music education, or equivalent teaching and performance experience. Experience working with children, including beginners and young learners. Experience supporting neurodivergent children is strongly preferred. Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning, sensory, and communication needs. Patience, empathy, flexibility, and a respectful approach to student support. Strong communication, organizational, and lesson-planning skills. Reliability and a commitment to consistent instruction.
