Job Description
Music & Arts seeks a passionate Guitar Teacher to provide private and small-group lessons in our retail store. In this role, you'll teach students of all ages and skill levels, create personalized lesson plans, and prepare students for recitals and performances. You'll collaborate with store staff to support lesson enrollment, maintain accurate schedules, and communicate progress with parents and students. Responsibilities Provide private and small-group guitar lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels Develop and follow individualized lesson plans aligned with student goals Prepare students for recitals, performances, and assessments Evaluate and track student progress, giving clear feedback to students and parents Maintain an organized teaching schedule and accurate attendance records Collaborate with store staff to support lesson enrollment and student retention Recommend appropriate instruments, accessories, and learning materials to students Uphold a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment in the store Participate in occasional events, recitals, and community outreach activities Required Skills Guitar performance Music theory Sight-reading or tablature reading Lesson planning Classroom and time management Student assessment and progress tracking Instructional communication Customer service in a retail setting Basic sales of instruments and accessories Scheduling and recordkeeping
