Job Description
Music & Arts is seeking a passionate Music Teacher to provide high quality private and group lessons in our retail store. You will teach students of varying ages and skill levels, focusing on fundamentals, technique, and musicality while preparing them for recitals and school performances. Responsibilities include creating lesson plans, tracking student progress, recommending instruments and accessories, and collaborating with store staff to support sales and rentals. You'll contribute to a student-focused, inclusive culture that promotes music education and community engagement while growing your teaching career in a mission-driven environment. Responsibilities Provide private and group music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels Develop individualized lesson plans focusing on technique, theory, and musicality Prepare students for recitals, school performances, and assessments Assess and track student progress, communicating with parents and guardians Recommend appropriate instruments, accessories, and learning materials Collaborate with store staff to support rentals, sales, and lesson enrollment Maintain an inclusive, student-focused classroom environment Uphold company policies and safety standards within the lesson studio Participate in recitals, events, and community outreach as needed Maintain accurate scheduling and attendance records for lessons Required Skills Music instruction Lesson planning Music theory Instrument proficiency Classroom management Student assessment Parent communication Performance preparation Customer service Collaboration with retail staff
