Pipsqueak Piano and General Music Class Instructor About Us The Pipsqueak Piano Company, founded in Redmond, WA, is an innovative and creative music education company dedicated to making piano accessible to preschoolers. We partner with daycares and early learning centers to bring joyful, age-appropriate music lessons directly to young children. We are currently looking for the right music teacher to help us build and grow the program together within a local daycare setting.

Position Details Role:
Pipsqueak Piano and General Music Class Instructor Location:

Tacoma, Puyallup, Lakewood (WA)

Schedule:

Flexible, starting with 1

•2 mornings per week, with potential to grow (approximately 9:00 AM

•11:30 AM/noon).

Pay:

$30

•$40 per hour, depending on experience with children and piano background What You'll Do Teach piano lessons (individual and small group) to children ages 2-5 Travel to your partner daycare or early education center Use the Pipsqueak Piano core curriculum while bringing your own creativity and musicality into lessons Help establish and grow your program location Track student progress and development over time Record short lesson videos for parents Provide simple weekly homework and maintain friendly communication with families Lead a weekly general music class (~1 hour per daycare) using provided materials Collaborate closely with our team to ensure a strong and successful program launch What We Provide Registration & billing handled through our online system Hourly pay of $30

•40 based on experience All teaching materials, including: student lesson books, in school instruments (toy keyboards for classroom use), supplies for piano and general music Marketing and advertising for student enrollment Who We're Looking For Someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children (ages 2-5) Fun, engaging, patient, and creative Comfortable leading games, activities, and interactive lessons Independent, organized, and reliable Within proximity for easy to commute to daycare location Able to carry a tote bag and/or small keyboard to lessons Requirements Experience working with children (teaching, childcare, camps, etc.) Musical background (piano or general music) Availability on weekday mornings Ability to complete DCYF state fingerprinting Reliable transportation Why This Role Is Unique This is more than just a teaching position, it's an opportunity to: Be part of growing Pipsqueak Piano and our mission to make piano education accessible to preschoolers Earn consistent supplemental income with flexible hours Make a meaningful impact on young children through music Have a consistent flow of graduating preschoolers into your direct lessons studio (outside of Pipsqueak Piano).
