Job Description

Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher to provide high quality private and group lessons in our retail store. You'll teach students of varying ages and skill levels, create individualized lesson plans, and prepare students for performances and school programs. Partner with store staff to support rentals, sales, and accessories that enhance learning. Track student progress, communicate with parents, and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment. The ideal candidate is a skilled musician with teaching experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to music education and community engagement. Responsibilities Provide private and group music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels Develop and adapt individualized lesson plans and instructional materials Prepare students for recitals, school performances, and assessments Assess and track student progress, providing feedback to students and parents Collaborate with store staff to support instrument rentals, sales, and accessories Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about goals and progress Support studio scheduling, student retention, and lesson growth Demonstrate and model proper instrument technique and musicianship Uphold Music & Arts policies and contribute to a student-focused culture Required Skills Music instruction Lesson planning Instrument technique Music theory Student assessment Classroom management Parent communication Performance preparation Retail POS familiarity Time management
