Job Description Supports director in representing Trinity and the Center for Urban and Global Studies (CUGS) to constituents within and outside of the college and in creating direction and goals for the center; also supports graduate studies in urban planning. Responsibilities Support director in representing Trinity and CUGS to constituents within and outside of the college and in creating direction and goals for the center Manage communications, including maintaining website, writing blogs, managing social media, and editing newsletter. Plan, advertise, and host meetings, workshops, and conferences. Supervise student workers as research and communications assistants. Assist CUGS visiting faculty through staffing searches, onboarding new visiting faculty, and ongoing support of visiting faculty. Support the IIE-SRF Visiting Scholar(s) in acclimating to life and work in the U.S. and assist the director in coordinating with the New University in Exile Consortium. Monitor budget expenditures, process payments and reimbursements. Serve as building manager for 70 Vernon Street, including submitting work requests and ordering supplies. Manage student research grants and fellowships program of CUGS, including overseeing the application process, advising students on projects and presentations, coordinating and serving on selection committees, and managing the administration of grants. Assist in the promotion and programming of the graduate program/graduate certificate in urban planning. Perform other related duties as assigned and based on departmental need.
