Covenant College Job Posting Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Christian Ministry Covenant College has a beautiful 400-acre campus that stretches atop Lookout Mountain, Georgia, on the Georgia/Tennessee border, just outside of Chattanooga. The Department of Biblical and Theological Studies at Covenant College, an agency of the Presbyterian Church in America and an academically rigorous Christian college emphasizing the liberal arts in the Reformed and Presbyterian tradition, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Christian Ministry, beginning July 1, 2027. Rank and compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Teach 2-3 courses in the Covenant College core curriculum, whether Old Testament, New Testament, or Christian Doctrine. Ability to teach 2-3 courses in the Christian Doctrine sequence is especially desired. Teach 1-2 electives and/or foundational and practicum courses in Christian Ministry, including Introduction to Christian Ministry, TeachingDiscipleship, and Mentored Ministry Aid in the administration of a new Local Flourishing Project beginning in the purview of the Christian Ministry program Advise and mentor students Meet with prospective students Participate in the life of the campus community and faculty governance

Qualifications :

Subscription to the system of doctrine in the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms. A PhD or ThD in Pastoral Theology, Christian Ministry, or related field. Exceptional Candidates may be considered before completion of a PhD. The successful candidate will possess demonstrated experience and expertise in Christian ministry, pastoral theology, missions, and/or church planting. An M.Div. (preferred) or MA in Theology Prior teaching experience - with demonstrated excellence - at the college or seminary level is desired.
