Job Description

The Student Ministry Associate supports the Student Ministry Pastor in leading ministry for students in grades 6-12. This position exists to help create environments where students build relationships, grow in faith, and experience life transformation through Jesus Christ. The Student Ministry Associate serves as a key ministry partner by helping implement ministry strategies, supporting volunteers, teaching, building relationships with students and families, and assisting with weekly programming, events, and discipleship opportunities.

authentically build relationships with middle school and high school students.o support and develop volunteer leaders. o work collaboratively as part of a ministry team. o communicate effectively with students, parents, volunteers, andstaff.o assist in planning and implementing ministry gatherings and events. Knowledge of and experience in student ministry preferred. Aptitude for organization, initiative, flexibility, and follow-through. Affirmation of the Statement of Faith and Covenant of Calvary Church. Regular participation in public worship at Calvary Church. Willingness to place membership at Calvary Church .

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the Student Ministry Pastor in implementing ministry programming for grades 6-12 at the White Bear Campus. Build meaningful relationships with students through regular presence at ministry gatherings, events and activities, and informal connection opportunities. Help recruit, train, encourage, and support volunteer leaders. Monitor first-time guest attendance each week. Ensure guests are personally greeted and introduced to leaders. Capture contact information for guests and follow up within 48 hours. Maintain accurate student rosters and attendance data. Develop social media content that celebrates ministry moments and promotes upcoming events, using photos and video. Help create welcoming, engaging, and safe ministry environments for students and volunteers. Assist with teaching, small groups, and discipleship opportunities as assigned. Collaborate with campus staff and ministry teams to support the overall mission of Calvary Church. Perform other duties as assigned by the Student Ministry Pastor.

RELATIONSHIPS

Reports directly to the Student Ministry Pastor. Works closely with student ministry volunteers and ministry staff atboth campuses. Coordinates with other church staff as needed. Supports student ministry initiatives across grades 6-12 and participates in campus-wide and church-wide ministry efforts.
