Position Summary:
This adjunct faculty position will teach ENGR 310, Thermodynamics, for the Fall 2026 semester.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop course and implement effectively. Meet classes as scheduled. Meet deadlines as established by the School of Engineering and Campbell University. Evaluate and assess student performance. Post grades accurately and respond promptly to grade determination. This position demands accuracy, honesty, integrity and the ability to work within the Christian mission of Campbell University. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline from an accredited university is required. Teaching experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Communicate effectively through both oral and written channels. Demonstrate tact, a positive attitude, courtesy and discretion in dealing with University trustees, faculty, staff, and students, as well as members of the business community and public at large. Maintain strict confidentiality and attention to detail. Exercise independent judgment in complex and new situations. Detail-oriented and willing to work in a changing environment. Work independently, as well as function effectively in a team and within a diverse group of people. Upon hire, have a broad knowledge of, and abide by, Campbell University policies and procedures; including but not limited to Title IX, and FERPA guidelines.
